Levera Beach

Situated on the northeastern edge of the island of Grenada, 1.9 miles east of Sauteurs, You should think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying in the vicinity. This beach is not just another beach attraction, it's one of the rare "quiet" beaches on Grenada. While Levera Beach may be a little farther away, it allows travelers to truly relax and claim their own space on the beach.

How to Access The Beach
The dirt road leading to Levera Beach is rough and bumpy, making it important to use a vehicle with four wheel drive and excelled suspension imperative to making the trip.

Amenities and Ambiance

The wild sweep of sand that is Levera Beach boasts dramatic scenery, with its backdrop of eroded cliffs, and a mangrove swamp and a nearby pond. This beach overlooks Sugar Loaf Island, which is just offshore of this amazing coast. The waters here can be rough.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so bring along some equipment if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface. Because of the rocky journey in reaching this beach, not very many people venture out to see it, allowing visitors to have a calm experience at Levera Beach without large crowds.

Levera Beach offers those who visit a quiet and relaxing enclave, in part because the surrounding region is away from most urbanization.

Found on the North East coast of Grenada; the area hosts attractions such as Carib's Leap, which is not very far away, so some will want to take a cab, while others will find it a nice walk.

If you're interested in combining culture with your visit to the beach, you should consider a trip to Grenada National Museum. It's not far from the shores at Levera Beach, giving you a chance to see, and learn about, even more of the area.

The closest town is St. George's, which is noted for its balance between seclusion and urbanization. From the shore, Grenville is located roughly seven miles (11 and a half kilometers) away.


Whether this spot is full of bodies or practically empty will be influenced by everything from the time of day to the capacity of nearby hotels. There aren't many large hotels in the immediate vicinity, but you may see guests staying at the few small lodgings in the area.

Other Beaches

Levera Beach isn't the only beach worth checking out on Grenada.

Another location you might enjoy is Sauteurs Bay, situated within a mile or so. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Bathway Beach offers more action, and isn't far from additional things to do and see nearby. It's found less than a mile to the south.

Another option worth considering is Duquesne Bay, located five miles away.

Grenada has a lot to offer its visitors, but a trip to Levera Beach could end up a family favorite.
