Sauteurs Bay is located on Grenada's north coast. Because it is not as well known as many other island beaches, it is almost always deserted, yet remains easy to access. If you are not in possession of a vehicle with good suspension but still want some privacy, this is the beach for you.
Located on the island of Grenada, 0.6 miles northwest of Sauteurs, this beach is nicely positioned on the coast. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying in the vicinity. Those of you who spend part of the afternoon at this beach can make the most of their relaxation time without missing the chance to do a little people watching.
The bay is backed by coconut palm trees, which run along the entire length of the tan colored beach. The waters are deep blue and can be a bit choppy.
You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. Grenada has a wide assortment of dining options, but don't think that tables, chairs, and waiters are prerequisites for a great meal. Many visitors, in fact, would rather eat lunch by the shoreline than in a different restaurant. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.
Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch.
Yes, public restrooms will be available here.
This beach is positioned on the North coast of Grenada. It is near some interesting sites like Carib's Leap, which is situated a few hundred yards to the east-northeast, and it is among the local attractions.
If you want to mix a little culture with your trip to the beach, you might want to consider visiting West Indies Cricket Heritage Centre. This museum is located within the range of a taxi, so it would be an easy side trip to take after some time in the sun.
Beaches are a great attraction to visit, but there's plenty else to see during your stay. The following chart includes some other attractions close-by.

|River Antoine Rum Distillery||Historical Site||4.1||SE||Grenada|

Sauteurs Bay is near, so exploring the city is a convenient option. The city of Gouyave is close-by and is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested. From Sauteurs Bay, Gouyave is a car ride off, about seven miles (11 and a half kilometers) away.
The number of other vacationers sharing this coastline can vary widely, depending on everything from the time of day to how many hotel rooms have been booked nearby. This spot is not near many large hotels, but you may see guests from the few small lodgings in the area.

One of the best ways to round off a laid-back trek to the beach is to walk to a nearby restaurant, where you can try foods you've never heard of before, without straying too far from your current location. Of course, there are more fantastic beaches besides Sauteurs Bay on Grenada.
If the active mood at Sauteurs Bay has you wanting more of the same, you'll want to consider also visiting David Bay South, a spot with the same type of electricity. You'll find it a mile and a half to the west. If you're looking for a more secluded beach experience, Gouyave Beach could be a good option for you. It is located within the range of a taxi.
You might also want to visit Duquesne Bay, located within a couple of miles.
You may find that Sauteurs Bay is a great fit for your vacation, but maybe you want to see more; in which case there are other beaches (and other outdoor attractions) worth trying.
