The hottest place to be on any given Friday is the Jump Up in the village of Gros Islet. This street party is filled with stalls of locals selling food, drinks, and more, regional music fills the air, and everyone lets loose, dancing in the streets. Life is pretty quiet here throughout the rest of the week, so if you are planning a night on the town during your stay, make sure it is on Friday.
You'll find a variety of different bars and other nightlife venues and a gambling site that are reasonably close to Gros Islet.
If you're ready to relax after a long day in the sun, you might want to check out Ti Lele. It is located in Rodney Bay, 0.7 mi. Southeast of central Gros Islet. Just slightly different than your typical beach bar, this spot offers not only cocktails but a large selection of fresh fruit juices.
A second place worth considering is Irie Bar. A true island bar, this laid back spot is located near the beach and is a great place to stop in and listen to reggae beat while sipping on a regional beer or fruity cocktail. You can reach them at (758) 724-2221.
