There are lots of activities that vacationers can enjoy while on Reduit Beach. With an assortment of water sports available including snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing you can spend a day in the sun; if you just feel like being pampered, try a spa treatment, or guided tour for your beach excursion. Many say it's the best beach on the island, and while that's up to you to decide, you'll certainly find it to be the busiest.

Positioned on the western outskirts of Gros Islet, Reduit Beach is on the North edge of Saint Lucia. You might want even if you are not staying particularly close by. If activity and variety isn't your thing, you'll be glad that many of St. Lucia's beaches are quiet and undisturbed. Then again, some vacationers seek out the loudest and the most active areas, and are better suited for one of the few lively beaches, like Reduit Beach.

How to Access The Beach
Reduit is located along Rodney Bay and can accessed off the Castries - Gros Islet Hwy. Just north of the large marina you'll find Dauphin St. Take that towards the water, then take a right on Bay St where you should be able to find some parking.

Amenities and Ambiance

Reduit Beach is situated near a large yacht marina, so you can easily charter a boat to a nearby island from here. The fine white sands of Reduit Beach are shaded by lush island greenery, so you take refuge from the noonday sun.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. There are several, unique dining options on St. Lucia, but you don't have to eat every meal in a formal setting. Some vacationers find it more convenient and relaxing to eat on near the beach than in another restaurant. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

There is also a snack bar here. On some days, it may be possible to get lunch from one of the mobile vendors who operate at or near this spot.

Travelers can take advantage of the available picnic tables, which make beach dining less messy, and are good spots for lounging.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. As one of St. Lucia's more popular beaches, Reduit Beach is very family friendly, with plenty of things to do for all kinds of beachgoers.

Reduit Beach and its choice of amenities and services can be located inside an area popular among tourist. Unless you do not mind crowds, it'll be a smart motivator to plan ahead for times when there are less people, maybe having your beach visit earlier when it is a little cooler. If not, you might risk all the amenities being too busy.
