Anse Vinty

While generally considered a local's beach, the quiet and a bit more natural Anse Vinity is a hidden gem of North Guadeloupe. With plenty of opportunities to sunbathe, swim, and do a little hiking, this beach is a prime spot to spend part of your day.

Located in Plessis Nogent, Anse Vinty is on the North edge of Basse-Terre. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. How to Access The Beach
When in the town of Plessis Nogent, travelers will just need to turn off of N-2 onto one of the side roads heading north. After some finding your way, you should be able to easily get to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Located just off a main road, the beach is not at all secluded. However, as it is away from the major tourist areas, there will not be any amenities located on the beach itself. In fact, the beach is part park, and with nature trails and wildlife protection, Anse Vinity is much more natural than many this close to a town.

Also, you have the option of trying the restaurant located right on Anse Vinty. Every destination has its own unique cuisine, and Guadeloupe is no different. One of the best places to try local specialties is right next to the coast. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.
