La Sucrerie du Comte is a small and charming hotel with 26 cozy and private bungalows scattered through out their large, tropical, and peaceful estate located just north of Basse-Terre, between the town of Lamentin and the village of Deshaies.

If you can't wait to get your toes in the sand, The African Regent Hotel should be a great fit, since there at least a few beaches in the vicinity. Plage des Amandiers and Anse Vinty are the closest options, and even beyond those two, you still won't find your choices are limited.

Activities and Amenities

On arrival guests may receive their complimentary welcome drink and enjoy it during La Sucrerie's weekly entertainment night, which is then followed by a small, on site artisans market.

La Surcrerie also offers may different excursion oppurtunities to it's guests, which include mountain biking, horseback riding, 4x4 expeditions, a flyover of the "Grand Cul de Sac Marin", hiking on any of the beautiful nearby hiking trails, surfing, kayaking, and guided tours to the Crole and Orchid Gardens, a nearby distillery and museum of rum.

Food

Le Fleur de Canne is a restaurant located on the same property as La Sucrerie but is independent of the hotel. They serve dinner every night from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm, except on Thursdays, on which their are many nearby restaurants for guests to enjoy.

Besides on-site dining, visitors hoping for extra culinary variety might also want to think about the area's other nearby restaurant selections. Those staying at The African Regent Hotel will encounter a few solid places to eat nearby.
