Le Moule

Le Moule's shoreline is protected by a reef, and the waters are shallow and calm making for excellent swimming conditions even for younger swimmers. There are several beach bars along these shores, as well as one of the most famous surf spots in the region.

Located on the island of Grande-Terre, 0.7 miles east of Le Moule, this beach is on the South East coast of the island, You should think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Le Moule stands out because it's one of the best spots for getting away from vacation stresses, like overly crowded restaurants and attractions. Other nearby beaches in Guadeloupe may be just as beautiful, but are usually busier since they're found in the most popular parts of town.

Amenities and Ambiance

With its pristine sandy shores and calm aquamarine waters, Le Moule is the ideal beach. This great beach is only a short drive north of St-FranaA|ois' shallow bay.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. There are so many dining experiences that vacationers can enjoy in Guadeloupe, but trying local cusine right on the beach can be especially fun. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The concession stand at this spot is also an option. On some days, it may be possible to order some food from one of the mobile vendors who operate at or near this spot.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business. This gorgeous stretch of sand can get pretty crowded especially on the weekends. Le Moule beach caters to all kinds of vacationers.

Le Moule provides a calm and relaxing environment, as the area surrounding the beach won't be overly crowded.

This pleasant stretch of sand known as Le Moule is on the South East coast of Grande-Terre. It is near Le Maison du Crabe Museum, which is one of a few favorite local destinations.

History-focused attractions such as Domaine de Zevallos are the perfect compliment to an afternoon at Le Moule, and give visitors the opportunity to learn more about Guadeloupe's past, without straying too far from the coastline.

The closest area on Grande-Terre to this beach is Le Moule. This destination is just three quarters of a mile from the shore, which means a trip here doesn't have to take all day. Le Moule is not lacking in exploration opportunities, yet also not overflowing with buildings.


The number of other vacationers sharing this coastline can vary widely, it depends on several things: the season, the weather, even how many people have booked rooms nearby. There aren't many major hotels nearby, but it's sometimes enjoyed by guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.
