Plage des Amandiers

Aptly named, this beach is unique because of the almond trees along the shore. The coast is wild and rugged, with dangerous swimming conditions, but a little picnic table makes it a great place to stop and have a snack or a meal while you enjoy the scenery.

Located in Plessis Nogent, Plage des Amandiers is on the North edge of Basse-Terre. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. The surrounding area is not overflowing with tourists, however, that is not to say the beach will be boring.

Amenities and Ambiance

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

If you tend to enjoy coasts that provide an angelic environment, then a good choice for you is Plage des Amandiers; it's back within a much quieter sector of the region.
