Plage des Amandiers

Aptly named, this beach is unique because of the almond trees along the shore. The coast is wild and rugged, with dangerous swimming conditions, but a little picnic table makes it a great place to stop and have a snack or a meal while you enjoy the scenery.

Located in Plessis Nogent, Plage des Amandiers is on the North coast of Basse-Terre. You might want whether or not you're staying particularly close by. You will usually find plenty of places to set up shop, as the surrounding region and the beach itself are not extremely crowded.

Amenities and Ambiance

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

If you find that you favor beaches which offer those who visit a peaceful environment, then maybe head on over to Plage des Amandiers; it is hidden away in a much quieter part of Basse-Terre.
