The quiet little beach at Pointe du Nord may not have much to offer, but that is eaxactly what some people are looking for. Relax in solidtude with nothing but the gentle waves calling your name.
Positioned on the eastern coast of Desirade Island, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. The surrounding area is not very crowded, however, that doesn't mean you won't find a fair amount of excitements at this beach.
The beach is located off the coast on an the island of Le Desirade. If you want to get to the beach, you will need to take a boat.
Located on an island off the coast of Guadeloupe's mainland, Point du Nord actually has a bit rougher waters than most south coast beaches. However, even here the waves do not get too high, allowing guests to lay out in the sun or under a palm tree in peace.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.
If you find that you favor coasts that offer visitors a peaceful environment, then maybe head on over to Point du Nord; it is found within a less urban area of the region.

The closest city you'll find to Point du Nord is Saint-Francois. Since the center of town is 18 and a half miles from Point du Nord, you'll probably have a bit of a drive from your hotel to this beach.
How many other people you encounter at Point du Nord will depend on many factors, including the capacity of nearby hotels. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but you may see guests from some of the smaller accommodations in the area.
You might not find any places to eat close to this shore, so you may choose to plan a picnic for your time spent at the beach.
Travelers in search of the perfect beach will have other options if Point du Nord doesn't suit their tastes.
You might also want to visit La Porte d'Enfer, one of the many great Guadeloupe beach sites. Set in a beautiful natural environment of limestone cliffs and protected waters, La Porte d'Enfer is an idyllic beach destination.
