There are plenty of beautiful beach locations to choose from on Grande-Terre, so perhaps you can explore more than one.
Another location you might enjoy is Anse Champagne, located a short taxi ride away. On the other hand, Anse de la Gourde could provide a little more opportunity for excitement, and isn't far from other tourist hot-spots. It's found a half mile to the west-northwest.
Another sun-drenched spot to consider is Plage du Helleux, located five miles to the west.
Guadeloupe has a lot to offer its visitors, but a trip to Point Tarare could end up a family favorite.
