Pointe des Salines

Popular among kite surfers, you'll find this beach to be especially crowded on Sundays. If you're looking or a quieter stretch of sand, visit during the week, where you will likely still be sharing the beach, but it won't be nearly as crowded.

Located on the southern side of the island of Grande-Terre, 3.2 miles east of Gosier, You might want even if you aren't staying very close. Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, should pay a visit to Pointe des Salines. It's a little bit removed from Guadeloupe's urban areas, but it's not quiet or boring either.

This beach features a wide strip of white sand with sparkling blue waters protected by a coral reef and marsh.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

If you happen to prefer coasts which offer visitors a quiet haven, then maybe head on over to Pointe des Salines; it's hidden away in a more rural sector of the region.
