Yalode Kayak Canyon

Guadeloupe has gorgeous natural scenery, which every tourist should strive to explore. Yalode Kayak Canyon wants to provide guests with the means to do so and learn about the local culture.

Offerings and Cost

Taking off in sea kayaks, guests will make their way through the mangroves to the coral islands. During the journey, naturalist guides will point out and describe the wildlife as they pass by. Guests can also discover the canyon, sliding on natural toboggans embedded in the rock. Life jackets, kayaks, water, and paddles are provided.

Bivouac allows guests to get in touch with the 5 natural elements of the area through yoga, canyoning, story telling, and the art of breathing. This all takes place within the forest overnight, as guests will camp out with their guide.

Kayak tours are 20 euro for kids and 35 euro for adults. The camping trip costs 440 euro per person.

Hours

The Bivouac tour departs at 5:30 a.m. and returns the next day at 6 p.m. Kayaking tours depart at 8:45 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. or sunset.

Located in the northern outskirts of Vieux Bourg, 3.8 miles west of Morne a l'eau, Yalode Kayak Canyon is a good choice if you're staying in or near this village. In case you're wondering, Pointe A Pitre is seven miles (11 and a half kilometers) to the south.
