Known as the “Nantucket of the Caribbean,” Harbour Island has a unique feel to it with its New England style buildings set to the backdrop of a tropical island.  Like the diversity of the landscape, the typical type of tourist attracted to this destination ranges from the top one percent of earners to beach-goers traveling on a budget.  While the perfect pink sand beaches are generally what attracts tourists, there are many activities to consider as you plan your getaway.

It is probably not hard to imagine that waterports rank at the top of the list of favored activities.  Scuba diving, fishing, and sailing are how many tourists spend the majority of their time on the island.  What you may not know is that this is one of the top dining destinations in the Bahamas, and while you probably do not consider eating the type of activity that you would put so much thought into, on Harbour Island it is essential that you do.
