According to legend, the mansion served as the home of a wealthy family until, one day, the family vanished in the 1940's. Over the years the mansion was left alone. It was finally bought as a wedding present in the 1960's, but bride left and never returned after less than an hour inside. Today, the mansion has suffered through looters, parties, a fire, and just the wounds of time. However, the site is still a popular location for weddings and frequently visited by tourist.
The mansion has been gutted and does not offer any service. However, for special events, party planners in the area light thousands of candles in the grounds, a beautiful experience popular with those getting married.
