Pink Sands Beach was rated as one of the Caribbean's best beaches by Caribbean Travel and Life magazine as well as Travel + Leisure. The beach is 3 miles long and up to 100 feet wide.
Situated near the heart of Dunmore Town, Pink Sands Beach is on the North edge of Harbour Island. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. Travelers who'd like to avoid renting a car will love how easy it is to access Pink Sands Beach. There are so many things to do in the area, as this beach is located in a pretty major tourist area.
There are many access points along the beautiful Pink Sands Beach, and you can walk there from any of the boat docks on the island. If you wish to further explore the island, golf cart rental is the preferred method.
Vacationers are sure to adore the pale pink sands of Pink Sands Beach which runs the entire length of the island's eastern side. The dazzling blue waters off of this coast are home to an amazing coral reef which protects this shoreline from dangerous wave breaks making this beach an excellent spot for casual swimming. With these features, it is easy to see why Travel + Leisure ranked this beach as number five in the world for most dramatic landscape.
The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. On some days, it may be possible to try local specialties from one of the mobile vendors who operate at or near this spot.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. While vacationing in The Bahamas you can make your accommodations reservations at any of the low-rise hotels located along these shores as well or private villas, so you can be close to the exotic Pink Sands Beach.
Bear in mind that the area surrounding Pink Sands Beach is visited by quite a number of tourists, so show up early.
You'll find this beach on the North coast of Harbour Island. It is near, which is only a short distance away, so tourists could take a cab or probably walk to this attraction, and it is one of the local attractions.

The town ofis close-by and is an area with plenty to do, but yet isn't overcrowded. From Pink Sands Beach, Dunmore Town is a fairly short distance away, roughly a quarter mile (a half kilometer).
The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, depending on everything from the time of day to how many of the nearby hotel rooms have been booked. At this beach, you can expect to share the sand with more than a few vacationers who are staying in the area.
