Pink Sands Beach was rated as one of the Caribbean's best beaches by Caribbean Travel and Life magazine as well as Travel + Leisure. The beach is 3 miles long and up to 100 feet wide.

Located near the middle of Dunmore Town, Pink Sands Beach is on the North coast of Harbour Island. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. Active travelers who thrive in busy, social environments won't have trouble fitting in at Pink Sands Beach.

How to Access The Beach
There are many access points along the beautiful Pink Sands Beach, and you can walk there from any of the boat docks on the island. If you wish to further explore the island, golf cart rental is the preferred method.

Amenities and Ambiance

Vacationers are sure to adore the pale pink sands of Pink Sands Beach which runs the entire length of the island's eastern side. The dazzling blue waters off of this coast are home to an amazing coral reef which protects this shoreline from dangerous wave breaks making this beach an excellent spot for casual swimming. With these features, it is easy to see why Travel + Leisure ranked this beach as number five in the world for most dramatic landscape.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. Sometimes, visitors will be able to order some food from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. While vacationing in The Bahamas you can make your accommodations reservations at any of the low-rise hotels located along these shores as well or private villas, so you can be close to the exotic Pink Sands Beach.

Remember to take into account that the area right around Pink Sands Beach is highly urbanized, so make sure to get a spot!
