It is entirely possible to sail your own watercraft to Holobox and anchor off the coast, but thanks to the active nature of the island, local tour operators also offer a number of regular sailing excursions so that eve those who don't want to brave the Caribbean Seas alone will still be able to see the shore from a different point of view.
Hobox prides itself on the beauty and the laid back nature of the island, and sailing tours are an extension of what they typically have to offer on shore. There are a variety of options, from a simple sailing trip that lasts for an hour or two, two a full day trip which includes food and drinks plus a chance to stop and do some snorkeling.
If you're simply wanting to get out onto the water, without the cost and responsibility involved with renting a boat you can take an excursion. Want to know more what it's like to go along for the ride? Take a look at the listing that follows to find contact information for area providers.
