Holetown Beach is a lively place to spend a beach day when you're looking for a fun vibe and bustling atmosphere.

Situated toward the northwestern outskirts of Porters, Holetown Beach is on the West edge of Barbados. You might want to drop by regardless of whether you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Travelers who want to avoid long taxi rides will find that Holetown Beach is a good choice for them. More than likely, this beach is near many of the attractions you already plan to visit, since it isn't far from the city's major hubs.

How to Access The Beach
Located behind the library, Holetown Beach is on the west coast of Barbados in the parish of St. James.

Amenities and Ambiance

The gold sands of Holetown Beach stretches along the coast for eight miles. Much of the beach is dotted with beach chairs and there are vendor tents and carts who show up on a daily basis to sell beachwear, crafts, food, and more.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to order some food from one of the local vendors who operate at or near this spot.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, umbrellas and chairs are available for guests hoping for some respite from the sun.

Though, you should realize that even though visitors here find at least one or two amenities and services for you to enjoy while at Holetown Beach, it will be located within a popular area that can get crowded. If busy-beaches are not something you want, it will be a good idea to make plans for times when there are less people, such as having your beach visit before the sun it at its hottest. If you come later, you could not use all the services that Holetown Beach has to offer.
