Mahogany Bay

Mahogany Bay Beach provides visitors with calm waters with little undertow, making for a great swimming and snorkeling spot for the entire family. Beautiful white sand provides great suntanning areas and smaller pools are perfect for wading.

Located in Holders Hill, Mahogany Bay is on the South West coast of Barbados. You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Those vacationers who like parts of town the are bustling with activity won't have trouble fitting in at Mahogany Bay.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible to both pedestrians and vehicles. Parking is available on the opposite side of the fish market off of Highway 1.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is situated on the west coast of the island and benefits from its calm waters. To the south of the beach are a series of restaurants and bars, most notable The Cliff, while the Paynes Bay Beach lies to the north. Large tropical trees provide excellent shade, while the soft white sand makes for excellent sunbathing spots.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

Since Mahogany Bay can be found within an area that sees many visitors, you'll want to plan accordingly.

You'll find this beach on the South West coast of Barbados. It is close to Sandy Lane Old Nine Golf Course, which is located one and a quarter miles to the north, and it is one of a few the area's interesting attractions.

Needless to say, there are other beaches in Barbados besides Mahogany Bay worth visiting.

You might also enjoy Gibbs Beach, a popular beach beloved by tourists. It is located five and a half miles to the north. If it's a bit of peace and quiet you're after, Paynes Bay Beach is an area which doesn't see as many crowds. It is located just a short distance away.

Vacationers may also want to visit Batts Rock Beach, located a mile and a half to the south.

Maybe Mahogany Bay is a perfect spot for you to kick back, and at the same time perhaps not the the ideal fit; in which case there are other beaches (and other outdoor attractions) worth trying.
