If you decide to sail to Barbados, either on your own or with the assistance of a more knowledgeable crew, you will have your choice of two ports of entry, and Holetown is located almost directly in the middle of the two. Both are set on the west coast, either to the north of Holetown in Speightstown, or the south in Bridgetown.
If you just want to spend a few hours on the water, without the stress and cost involved with renting a boat you can join an excursion. Check out the chart that follows to find information on area day sail providers.
|Black Pearl Party Cruise||(246) 826-7245||Carlisle House - Downtown Bridgetown|
|Cool Runnings||(246) 436-0911||Carisle Wharf, Hincks Street - Downtown Bridgetown|

The port of call in Speightstown, is new and has the added benefit of not being a commercial port, so you're likely to have an easier time getting through customs in Speightstown, however, Bridgetown is the islands capital, and there are plenty of attractions to see on the way up to Holetown if that is something that is important to you.
Regardless of which port you choose, it will cost you BDS$25 to gain clearance, BDS$8.33 in anchorage fees, and then another BDS$25 when it comes time to leave the island. Also, keep in mind that you should never anchor off of coral reef. If you are caught doing so, you could be charged up to $25 thousand.
