Reminiscent of the corner stores that were so popular in villages in towns before big name retailers took over the retail world, The Gourmet Shop offers a personalized experience you won't find elsewhere. The staff is well-versed in catering to the needs of customers who range from local, organic consumer to the rich and famous villa owners, and they even offer provisioning for yachts.
Shoppers adore the upmarket meats and wines offered by the Gourmet Shop that are simply not available in local supermarkets. They stock original labeled items, hard to find goodies and specialties not available elsewhere, like caviar. Throughout the shop, customers will find pate, cheeses, smoked salmon, U.S. beef, Irish bacon, New Zeland lamb, imported beers, wines, liquors, fresh local milk, fresh produce, artisinal breads, sushi ingredients, condiments, olives, coffees, chocolates, jellies, cookies, gluten free items, curry ingredients, and much more.
Tourists most often purchase hot sauces, dry seasoning, nutmeg, homemade jelly, jam, chutney, and Bajan cookbooks to take home as gifts. While in Barbados they buy meats, pate, cheese, produce, and the imported beers or inexpensive wines.
The Gourmet Shop can be found toward the center of Holetown.
