Thanks to its location along the coast and the fact that it is home to the largest resort property on the island, Humacao is a top tourist destination in Puerto Rico.  There is nothing thrilling over overly exciting about the town, instead it is the laid back atmosphere and picturesque beaches that bring people in droves.  Favored activities center on the sea like yachting and fishing, while the resort crowd can't get enough of the high end shopping and spa days.

Humacao Diving

Protected by the Puerto Rico Wall, dive sites near Humacao are much more calm than other sites in the immediate areas, making this town an enclave for beginning and intermediate divers.

Fishing charters leaving out of Humacao generally head out to the continental shelf, where fish tend to be stronger, faster, and more difficult to catch. This makes the area a great destination for fishermen looking to test their skills.
