Inagua Attractions

Inagua, which is comprised of both Great Inagua and Little Inagua, is the "land" of national parks.  183,740 acres of Great Inagua is designated as the Inagua National Park, while the entire 30 square miles of Little Inagua is a national park where feral donkeys run wild, numerous bird species proliferate, and herds of goats can be seen munching on the grass.  If nature isn't your thing, you won't find much to take advantage of here, outside of the quiet feel which allows visitors to feel like they've found a true getaway.

The Inagua National Park is about one hours’ drive from Matthew Town and covers 183,740 acres of Great Inagua.

Beaches

You will discover a large selection of beaches to consider visiting on the island. Snorkeling is available at some of these beaches, for those who enjoy this relaxing pastime. Click on each beach name for a detailed article concerning that particular stretch of sand.

A beach scene where snorkeling is an option is North West Point Beach. Aptly name for its location just south of the island's north-west tip, North West Beach is one of Inagua's secluded picturesque hideaways that is perfect for all of your favorite beach day activities.

Another location to consider is Farquharson Beach. This beach is of smooth, white sands right along the shore, but has a few dunes where the tide doesn't reach. The vibrant blues of the water invite visitors in, but sunbathing is actually the most popular activity here.

Luckily, the area is home to quite a few other choices for beaches on the island. For more in formation concerning beaches available, see this page.
