Inagua, which is comprised of both Great Inagua and Little Inagua, is the "land" of national parks. 183,740 acres of Great Inagua is designated as the Inagua National Park, while the entire 30 square miles of Little Inagua is a national park where feral donkeys run wild, numerous bird species proliferate, and herds of goats can be seen munching on the grass. If nature isn't your thing, you won't find much to take advantage of here, outside of the quiet feel which allows visitors to feel like they've found a true getaway.
The Inagua National Park is about one hours’ drive from Matthew Town and covers 183,740 acres of Great Inagua.
There are a large selection of beaches to enjoy on the island. Snorkeling is an option at some locations, for people who are so inclined. Click on each beach name for more information concerning that particular stretch of sand.
A beach scene where snorkeling is an option is North West Point Beach. Aptly name for its location just south of the island's north-west tip, North West Beach is one of Inagua's secluded picturesque hideaways that is perfect for all of your favorite beach day activities.
Another alternative worth considering is Farquharson Beach. This beach is of smooth, white sands right along the shore, but has a few dunes where the tide doesn't reach. The vibrant blues of the water invite visitors in, but sunbathing is actually the most popular activity here.
Luckily, you'll find plenty of additional beaches to choose from on the island. Click this link to check out our page dedicated to beaches for Inagua.
