Barbican Estate

The Barbican Estate is a collection of old ruins ranging from cannons and battlements to cogs for sugar mills. As an official Jamaican National Heritage Site, this maintained property is a great way to experience what the history of Jamaica has left behind.


Visitors are free to explore the area and find the many ruins that are scattered among the area. You may need to look carefully, as over the years nature has reclaimed much of what was the Barbican Estate.
