Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.
Many visitors find themselves ordering a drink or snack from the concessions here, even if they move off-site for lunch. You might also have the option to order lunch from one of the local vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. The water in the area is fit for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface. Apart from the tourists and guests to the island, locals come out to sell their jerk meals to the public and hang out on the beach. A good mix of people keep this beach somewhat crowded.
Secluded away, Boston Bay and its availability of amenities are a hit for visitors wishing to spend some time away from the crowds, as it happens to be situated within a laid-back part of Jamaica. Taking that into consideration, no matter what part of the day you come, as there's a small possibility you'll need to contend with the other beach-goers who will be needing access to the comforts that are there.

Historical attractions such asprovide a nice compliment to a soothing day at Boston Bay, and provide beachgoers with the opportunity to learn about Jamaica's past, without straying too far from the coastline. In fact, this coastline is located accessed quickly by taking a cab from this place of historical interest.

Boston Bay is near Port Antonio, so travelers staying in town won't have far to go. Not far away you'll find Port Antonio, a city which is a neat region that strikes a balance between island tranquility and urbanization. From Boston Bay, Port Antonio is a car ride off, about six and a half miles (ten and a half kilometers) away.
The crowdedness of the shoreline can vary widely, it depends mainly on when you visit, and how full nearby hotel rooms are. There aren't many major hotels nearby, but it's sometimes enjoyed by guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.

Jamaica has many nice beaches, so Boston Bay is not your only option.
Vacationers may also want to visit Zion Hill Beach, located in a distance some might easily walk.
