A perfect place for a picnic on the beach, Boston Bay is home to a number of vendors, who line the shores offering the finest in jerk meals. The beach is gorgeous and the waves are just right for windsurfing the rocky waters. Occasionally, music shows are held on the weekends.
Located in Boston Bay, 0.9 miles east-southeast of Fairy Hill, this beach is on the East coast of Jamaica. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying particularly close by. You will usually find plenty of beach space once you hit the sand, since the beach and its surrounding region is not overly congested.
On the A4 between Manchioneal (to the south) and Port Antonio (to the northwest) is where you'll find a short dirt road making a circle which extends right up to the beach.
The sands shine with golden tones and the waves are rocky and rough along Boston Bay.
Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. There are many types of dining experiences in Jamaica that visitors can partake in, but dining at the beach can be especially enjoyable. Did you know that many hotels are able to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.
If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Boston Bay Beach is the ultimate convenience. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy some food from one of the local vendors who are typically found at this location.
Travelers can take advantage of the available picnic tables, which are perfect for setting up your carry-out food, or just lounging under the sun.
Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear enough for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you want to do some underwater exploration. Apart from the tourists and guests to the island, locals come out to sell their jerk meals to the public and hang out on the beach. A good mix of people keep this beach somewhat crowded.
One of the more serene beaches, Boston Bay Beach plus its available comforts are bound to be a good choice among visitors hoping to get away from the crowded beaches, as it is located inside a calm region. Thus straining to locate an unused amenity or service at the beach is not a scenario that you will be forced to do regularly, in spite of what time it is.
