A perfect place for a picnic on the beach, Boston Bay is home to a number of vendors, who line the shores offering the finest in jerk meals. The beach is gorgeous and the waves are just right for windsurfing the rocky waters. Occasionally, music shows are held on the weekends.

Located in Boston Bay, 0.9 miles east-southeast of Fairy Hill, this beach is on the East coast of Jamaica. You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. The surrounding area is not very urbanized, however, there is still plenty to do here.

How to Access The Beach
On the A4 between Manchioneal (to the south) and Port Antonio (to the northwest) is where you'll find a short dirt road making a circle which extends right up to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

The sands shine with golden tones and the waves are rocky and rough along Boston Bay.

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. Jamaica has a wide assortment of dining options, but not every meal you enjoy has to be at a fine restaurant. Some visitors, in fact, find it more convenient and relaxing to eat on near the beach than in another restaurant. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. On some days, it may be possible to order some food from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

Lots of visitors make use of the picnic tables at Boston Bay Beach, where you can park your belongings for the afternoon, or set up a quick lunch.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. The water in the area is fit for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you want to see the underwater world. Apart from the tourists and guests to the island, locals come out to sell their jerk meals to the public and hang out on the beach. A good mix of people keep this beach somewhat crowded.

the immediate vicinity around Boston Bay Beach is not near many tourist spots. Thus struggling to acquire an unoccupied amenity while at the beach is not something you will have to go through when arriving at the beach, in spite of what time of the day you get there.
