Located in Saint Elizabeth Parish, Crane Beach is on the West coast of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you are staying in the vicinity. While you wouldn't necessarily call Crane Beach quiet, you'll find that it gets a lot less visitors than many of Jamaica's beaches. So while this isn't the most private place on the island to spend time with your sweetheart, you'll be relatively undisturbed by rowdy beachgoers, should you decide to take a romantic stroll.

Visitors looking for a beach that's right for them will have lots of choices besides Crane Beach.
If the active mood at Crane Beach is what you're looking for, you'll want to consider checking out Hunt Bay, a beach with a similar ambiance. It is located four miles to the northwest. If it's a bit of peace and quiet you're after, Frenchman's Bay is an area secluded from lots of tourists and buildings. You'll find it within the range of a taxi.
Another option worth considering is Parottee Bay, located two and a half miles away.
Crane Beach could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
