Amenities and Ambiance

The soft white sands and crystal clear waters make Frenchmen's Cove Beach one of the prettiest on the island. Surrounded by tropical scenery and fed by a freshwater river, Frenchmen's Cove is also both quiet and secluded.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. Beachgoers will find notice plenty of nice restaurants all around Jamaica, but not all your meals have to be in a sit-down restaurant. Many visitors, in fact, simply sit on their towels——not in a restaurant——to enjoy lunch. Did you know that many hotels are able to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. You may also have the option to purchase food from one of the mobile vendors who set up shop at the beach.

This beach has public restrooms——something you'll appreciate if you spend more than a couple of hours here. Showers are provided for visitors, so you can rinse off the sand. Visitors and locals flock to this very popular beach. While the entrance fee scares some people away, the private setting of the beach adds a touch of sophistication.
