Located on the eastern edge of Saint Mary Parish, 1.5 miles northwest of Hart Hill, Palmetto Bay is on the East coast of Jamaica. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying particularly close by. This beach is not just another beach attraction, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like Jamaica. While Palmetto Bay may be a little more trouble to reach, it offers unparalleled relaxation opportunities.

If you're looking for seclusion and serenity, this beach is the spot. It's also convenient, close to restaurants and accommodations but distant enough to forget about reality for a little while. Jump in, the waters are warm.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

The closest section of Jamaica to Palmetto Bay is Hart Hill. This location is only a mile and a half from the shore, so a visit doesn't need to take up the whole day. It's located a mile and a half to the east-southeast.

Another sun-drenched spot to consider is Annotto Bay, which is located reasonably close-by, so a short ride in a taxi is a solid choice.

Palmetto Bay could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
