San San Beach is a private beach near Frenchman's Cove for guests of surrounding resorts. One of the biggest scuba diving reefs is near San San Beach for experienced and adventurous scuba divers, while smaller reefs perfect for snorkeling are just off the coast. Rent equipment or book fishing expeditions here and check out the lunch bar for a snack or island cocktail.
Situated toward the center of Portland Parish, 1.9 miles west-northwest of Fairy Hill, San San Beach is on the East coast of Jamaica. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying very close. Many of the beaches in Jamaica are quiet and secluded, but San San Beach is a little different. You'll still find it has a calm, serene mood, but you can visit without sacrificing a fun and social atmosphere.
San San Beach is located just off A4, down a crudely paved road that leads directly to the sand, however, most people access the beach through their resort.
San San Beach has a narrow but lengthy white sandy beach with palm trees and bright topaz waters. A variety of small reefs are just off shore for good snorkeling, and a small island can be seen from the sand.
Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch. Sometimes, visitors will be able to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, the water here is fit for snorkeling, so bring your equipment if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites. Visitors and locals come to enjoy the beaches at San San, while the shores are also home to the owners of wealthy homes that are along the nearby peninsula of Alligator Head.
San San Beach is always a lovely side-trip when you're in the area. Look for it on the East coast of Jamaica; the area is home to other attractions such as, which is three miles away.

San San Beach is close to Port Antonio, so you can explore the city as part of your day at the beach. The nearby town of Port Antonio is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested. From the beach, Port Antonio is a fairly short distance away, maybe three and a half miles (six kilometers).
Whether or not you encounter many other people will depend on how many hotel guests decide to make the trip as well. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but you may see visitors staying at some of the area's smaller options.

Some guests will choose to take a cab here, while others will want to walk since it's only a short distance away.
