Sandy Bay

Sandy Bay is located on Jamaica's western coast, in a town known for its abundance of churches rather than beaches. Still, the beach is a beautiful one, and though it is located off one of the island's main roads, it remains a quiet and calm place to plan a day.

Located in the northern part of Hanover Parish, 0.5 miles northeast of Sandy Bay, this beach is on the North West coast of Jamaica. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Jamaica's beaches are pretty busy for the most part, but you'll find Sandy Bay to be a little calmer than most, which makes it an excellent attraction for those of you who'd prefer to stay out of the busiest areas.

How to Access The Beach
Sandy Bay is located directly off Norman Manley Boulevard. Simply exit the road, park on the grass, and head to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Sandy Bay is a small little swatch of land featuring dark tan sand and mesmerizing blue green waters.

There is also a concession stand available.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Fortunately, the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring your gear if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites.
