Located in Trelawny Parish, 1.5 miles northeast of Duncans, Silver Sands Beach is on the North West edge of Jamaica. You should consider dropping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. While Silver Sands Beach isn't particularly secluded, visitors will notice fewer people here than are at the other, usually crowded beaches in Jamaica. So while this isn't the most private place on the island to spend time with your sweetheart, this beach will have much less traffic to dodge during, say, a romantic walk along the water.
A public access point exists on the West side of this beach and you will never be made to feel unwelcome here, even if you're not renting one of the adjacent villas.

The town of Falmouth is close-by and is not lacking in exploration opportunities, yet also not overflowing with buildings. From the shore, Falmouth is found maybe eight and a half miles (14 kilometers) away.
Whether this spot is full of bodies or practically empty will vary depending on the time of day, particularly in the high season when hotels overflow with tourists. There are not many large hotels nearby, but it can appeal to guests staying at some of the smaller accommodations in the area.

There aren't any restaurants right on this location, so you might want to pack a lunch for your time spent at the beach.
There are plenty of beautiful beach locations to choose from in Jamaica, so Silver Sands Beach is not your only option.
You might also enjoy Half Moon Beach, which is home to plenty of activity. You'll find it nine miles to the west. If it's solitude and tranquility you're seeking, Bengal Beach is an area secluded from lots of tourists and buildings. You'll find it a brief car or taxi trip away.
Another location you may want to try is Rio Bueno Beach, located fairly close-by, which means a quick cab ride is an easy option.
Silver Sands Beach could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; if so, there are other beaches and natural attractions in Jamaica you might like.
