J. Charles Swaby's Black River Safari Cruise

The Black River Safari offers guests the opportunity to view wildlife in their natural habitat while cruising down the river.

Cost and Offerings

Boat tours include Bird Watching Tours, Fishing Trips, and a complimentary Crocodile Nursery Tour when you book a boat tour. Over 100 species of birds, and even the endangered American Crocodile, are the stars of the cruise, showing up at every turn.

The basic tour travels 6 miles up and down the river, paired with some wonderfully informative commentary from your Captain and guide.

The crocodile nursery enables guests to interact with a lesser encountered creature. This is where juvenile crocodiles are fed by a handler, and guests can have their photograph taken while holding one of the crocodiles.

Entry into the crocodile nursery is complimentary with your tour admission.

What to Expect

The party boat is adorned with fun, cartoon-like crocodile decals on the side, and has bench seating on it's spacious deck with plenty of leg room. The open air boat allows for close views of wildlife.

Tours depart at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
