Treasure Beach

Gray and peppered with boats, this isn't a picturesque locale, but it may still be fun to beach comb. This beach also offers a view of the sunset over the water.

Positioned in Treasure Beach, this beach is on the South West coast of Jamaica. You should think about stopping by whether or not you're staying very close. Jamaica's beaches are pretty busy for the most part, but you'll find Treasure Beach to be a little calmer than most, which makes it an excellent attraction for those of you who aren't fond of huge throngs of tourists.

Amenities and Ambiance

There is also a great restaurant right on-site if you're interested; many find it the perfect, convenient solution for lunch. There are many types of dining experiences to be had in Jamaica, but dining at the beach can be especially fun. Did you know that some hotels are happy to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. You may also have the option to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who are generally found here.

You will be able to use a public restroom at Treasure Beach. You will find the water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you're looking to see some exciting marine life.

Tourist who plan to take advantage of the amenities extended at this beach, will like this news; Treasure Beach happens to be situated in a region which is not often visited by tourists. With that fact in mind, sweating to obtain an unclaimed amenity here is not a thing you will do very often, no matter what the time is when you get there.

Treasure Beach is always a lovely side-trip when you're in the area. Look for it on Jamaica's South West coast; the area is home to other attractions such as Lover's Leap Lighthouse, which is five miles to the east of this spot.

If you want more information on the history of Jamaica, many sites offer unique historical perspectives on the area. One of the nearest historical attractions is Bloomfield Great House, which is within traveling distance of the coast.

The closest city to this beach is Treasure Beach, which is certainly not a bustling region, but it will be a nice day out for visitors who want to see more of the area. From the coast, Treasure Beach is just up the road, roughly two miles (three and a half kilometers).
