Treasure Beach

Gray and peppered with boats, this isn't a picturesque locale, but it may still be fun to beach comb. This beach also offers a view of the sunset over the water.

Located in the southeastern part of Treasure Beach, this beach is on the South West coast of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. Those searching for a somewhat calm, but somewhat social beach in Jamaica may find that Treasure Beach is just the right spot. It's slightly off the beaten path, but it's not dead and empty either.

Amenities and Ambiance

You'll also discover that there is a restaurant on the shore worth trying. Vacationers will find plenty of places in Jamaica serving up delicious local cuisine, but not every meal needs to be eaten in a formal setting. Some vacationers would rather eat lunch by the shoreline than in a different restaurant. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Or, on your way to the beach you could grab some carry-out from a casual dining spot.

The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. On some days, it may be possible to buy food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up at this spot.

This beach has public restrooms——something you'll appreciate if you spend more than a couple of hours here. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so purchase or rent some equipment if you are looking to do some underwater exploration.

Tucked away, Treasure Beach as well as its availability of conveniences are sure to be a popular choice among visitors hoping to find a place away from the crowds, as it is found within a quiet area. With this in mind, the availability of certain facilities shouldn't be negatively affected.
