Tropical Lagoon

Tropical Lagoon is true to its name. Its a pool of ocean water that is inland from the main beach, round and darker blue than the turquoise sea. It's fun to swim but there is no true sandy beach to speak of as trees surround it on all sides. It is adjacent to the Tropical Lagoon Resort and therefore will probably be crowded with swimmers and onlookers.

Set in Portland Parish, 1.1 miles west-northwest of Fairy Hill, Tropical Lagoon is on the East coast of Jamaica. You should consider stopping by whether or not you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Tropical Lagoon stands out from other beaches because it's perfect for escaping the typical tourist haunts. Other nearby beaches in Jamaica may have the same pleasing, tropical setting as Tropical Lagoon, but tend to be busier because they're lined with some of the most famous hotels and restaurants.

Amenities and Ambiance

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The water here is fit for snorkeling, so grab your gear if you want to do some underwater exploration.
