Winnifred Beach

This thin and picturesque beach is in a cove, surrounded by trees and brush. Its a perfect spot for a warm swim or a casual snorkeling exploration. The round shape of the cove and the dense cover make you feel secluded and at peace while you're here. It's a quintessential Caribbean escape.

Situated on the northwestern part of Fairy Hill, Winnifred Beach is on the East coast of Jamaica. You might want even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. This beach is not just a pleasant attraction, it's special in that it's one of the few quiet beaches in Jamaica. While Winnifred Beach may be a little farther away, it allows you to relax without being bothered by the noise of the crowds.

Amenities and Ambiance

Small trees provide some shade on the beach proper. The sand is soft and free of debris, though its more tan than brilliant white.

Lots of visitors here find that the on-site snack bar is just fine for lunch.

If you're not fond of dining in the sand, picnic tables can be found for you to eat on instead.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Fortunately, the water here is fit for snorkeling, so grab your gear if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life.

Visitors that hope to enjoy the conveniences made available here, are in luck; Winnifred Beach is found in an area that is rarely overpopulated. What this means is that fighting to locate an open comfort at Winnifred Beach is not a scenario that you will be forced to do when coming to the beach, no matter if it is the most popular time to visit.
