A white sand beach on Jost Van Dyke island, White Bay is flanked by villas and hotels. There is also a heavy amount of greenery behind the beach, standing in contrast to the light colored sand.

Located in White Bay, 0.6 miles west-southwest of Great Harbour, this beach is on the West coast of Jost Van Dyke. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. White Bay Beach is one of those beaches that is never really too crowded, but it's still a popular and generally active spot.

Amenities and Ambiance

A long stretch of curving beach, this spot is very popular with boaters because its located on the smaller island of Jost Van Dyke.

You'll also discover that there is a restaurant on the shore worth trying. There are so many unique restaurants in the Virgin Islands, but don't think that tables, chairs, and waiters are prerequisites for a great meal. Many visitors have lunch right on their towels in the sand. Did you know that many hotels are able to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner.

This beach has public restrooms——something you'll appreciate if you spend more than a couple of hours here.

The crowdedness of the shoreline can vary widely, depending on when you visit, and how packed the nearby hotels are. There aren't many major hotels in the immediate vicinity, but it's often visited by guests staying at some of the area's smaller options.
