A modern and busy city set on the waterfront, Kingston wears a lot of hats: all at once it is Jamaica's busiest city, the commercial and political capital, and home to the seventh largest natural harbor in the world.  Tourists find this city to be bursting with activity and will never want for something to do.

Despite its size, a great deal of Kingston can be explored on foot. You can begin a sightseeing tour by the cruise ship terminal and see several museums, government buildings, a city park, and several shopping centers.  The main center of shopping is south of King Street where there are vendors set up as well as storefronts selling discounted goods.  For locally crafted goods, you won't want to miss the Victorian Crafts Market on the waterfront.  For some simple fun, there is a miniature golf course.  Kingston is also home to some of the best dining and nightlife on the island – this is a place where you could stay up all night and never experience a dull moment.
