Gunboat Beach, although not a place to swim, has many different amenities that cater to the mainly local crowd who turn out on the weekends. Visitors can enjoy live music and entertainment, numerous food stands, and adequate changing rooms and restrooms. In addition, lots of security is always around for your safety and for additional information.
The center of Harbour View is located three and a half miles (six kilometers) east-northeast of this beach.

Along a thin stretch of highway headed out towards the airport is Brooks Pen Beach. If you're heading out of Jamaica and back to your every-day, beachless life, this beach serves as a great place to park and enjoy one last glimpse of island sand and sea.
Go 1.6 miles (2.5 km) to the south west from the center of Harbour View to get to this beach.
