Caleta Beach is located in La Romana on the south coast of the Dominican Republic. The beach is a small little stretch of beach that locals use for boating, but it also calm enough for swimming.
Positioned toward the southern outskirts of La Romana, Caleta Beach is on the East edge of Hispaniola. You might want to drop by whether or not you are staying nearby. You will usually find quite a number of places to throw down a towel, as the beach and its surrounding area is not overly populated.
Caretta la Caleta runs right alongside Caleta Beach. Simply park in the sand and head to the shore.
Caleta Beach forms a little curve into the coast and is lined with trees. The sand is tan colored and quiet soft, while the waters are a mesmerizing turquoise.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline.
Caleta Beach grants an idyllic and tranquil experience, in part because the surrounding area contains little build-up and is free of urbanization.

The nearby town of La Romana is not lacking in exploration opportunities, yet also not overflowing with buildings. From the coast, La Romana is a quick trip away, about two and a half miles (three and a half kilometers).
The number of other vacationers sharing this coastline can vary widely, depending on time of day, season, and how many people have booked nearby hotels. There aren't many major hotels in the immediate vicinity, but you may see guests staying at smaller accommodations in the area.
