Located on the Domincan Republic's south coast, Playa Dominicus is the first beach on the island to have achieved Blue Flag Beach status, so you can be sure your experience will be a good one. Bring your snorkeling gear, because the calm waters that lack a strong undertow are great for snorkeling.

It is located 13 miles to the west. Catalina is a divine island oasis located off the coast of La Romana that is perfect for relaxing in unspoiled splendor. Take a boat from Casa de Campo and arrive at the beach of your dreams within 45 minutes . If you're looking for something a little more private, La Minitas could be a good option for you. It is located only a cab ride away from the coast.

Another location you may want to try is Bayahibe, another great beach choice in the Dominican Republic. The exotic destination of Bayahibe is perfect for all sorts of travelers, whether seeking rest and relaxation or fun and adventure. From lounging on the beach to booking an excurtion to the off-shore nature preserve of Catalina, Bayahibe has plenty to offer.

Dominicus Beach could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
