Colorada Beach is set on the eastern tip of the Domincan Republic. This section of sand is not one of the island's most popular locales due to the often rough waves, but visitors looking for a day of seclusion may enjoy sunbathing and beach combing here.

Positioned in the Samana Peninsula, 1.3 miles west of Las Galeras, Colorada Beach is on the North East edge of Hispaniola. You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. The Dominican Republic's beaches are pretty busy for the most part, however, Colorada Beach is tamer than most, making it a good pick for those of you who want to stay away from big crowds, but still get the most out of their beach visit.

How to Access The Beach
You can reach Colorada Beach by taking Carretera Playa Colorada right to the shore.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beachfront of Colorada Beach is covered in palm trees and tan colored sand. The waters here can be rough, but the turquoise hue is hard to resist.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.
