Luperon Beach

Water sports are the main attraction at Luperon Beach with everything from snorkeling to windsurfing equipment available in huts along the beach. The surf can be a little rough, so swimming is not a recommended pastime for novice swimmers, but snack bars provide light foods and cold drinks to make the tropical heat less taxing for those who still want to relax on the beach.

Located in Luperon, Luperon Beach is on the North West coast of the Dominican Republic. You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. You will usually find plenty of places to set up shop, as the area surrounding the beach is not overly congested.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. The crowd along the shores at Luperon Beach mainly consist of nearby hotel and resort guests and other tourists.

The closest part in the Dominican Republic to Luperon Beach is Luperon. This friendly part of the Dominican Republic is only three quarters of a mile from the coast, which means it doesn't have to be a terribly lengthy excursion. Keep in mind that Luperon is a fairly rural area, but it can be an interesting destination for visitors wanting to scope out the local scene.


The mood here——social and lively, or virtually empty—— will depend on how many hotel guests decide to make the trip as well.

Don't anticipate finding any of the Dominican Republic's frequently visited hotels close to this beach, but if you're looking to evade hoards of tourists, the shortage of accommodations will be a pleasant sight.


Don't worry if your stomach starts rumbling while sunbathing at Luperon Beach; you'll have many local dishes to choose from at nearby establishments. Luperon Marina Yacht Club Restaurant is one of the closest eateries. The restaurant features Caribbean cuisine.
