Tourists heading to Luquillo will touch down in Isla Verde near San Juan at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). It is owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, but managed by the Aerostar Airport Holdings, in a partnership that makes it publicly owned by privately operated and technically one of the only private international airports in the region.

The facility includes two runways. The first was built when the airport originally opened in 1955, is 9,783 feet long and made of asphalt. The other was built many years later, made of concrete, and measures 8,016 feet long. There are four terminals, several conference rooms, a food court, and some shops.
