Fortuna Playa is what many would call a "local beach." The area is frequented by locals, and not very well kept, yet still remains a beauty in the grand scheme of things.
Visitors will find this beach on the northwestern edge of the vicinity of Fajardo, two miles (three kilometers) west of the center of Luquillo.

1 | Luquillo Public Beach
Water sports, equipment rentals, camping, and souvenir and food vendors are all available to the public at this beach. Lining the entrance to the beach, visitors will find numerous brightly colored stands offering all sorts of goodies you won't be able to resist. A unique feature to Luquillo Public Beach is its "Sea Without Barriers" program which assists disabled persons with enjoying the water, so everyone can have a great time.
This beach is a half mile (three quarters of a kilometer) to the north of the center of Luquillo.

Often called Puerto Rico's most popular and even most famous beach, Luquillo is favored by tourists and locals alike. The upside of its popularity is that the beach has excellent facilities, life guards, and plenty of parking as well as a number of food and souvenir sands lining the shore.
Interested visitors will be able to find this beach just 0.4 miles (0.7 km) east-southeast of the center of Luquillo.
