Anse Canot

In addition all of the regular beach activities, visitors to Anse Canot can enjoy a variety of water sports off the coast of Anse Canot. There are no facilities, however, so be sure to bring your own supplies.

Located on the island of Marie-Galante, near Saint Louis, You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying nearby. Guadeloupe's beaches are hardly known for being secluded, however, Anse Canot is tamer than most, making it a good choice for travelers who don't want to wander too far away, but would rather avoid the most hectic parts of town.

Anse Canot is a crescent-shaped beach located in Gosier, near Pointe-a-Pitre.

The concession stand located here is another lunchtime alternative. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to buy some food from one of the local vendors who are typically found at this location.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Due to the rusticness of the island and its accomodations, the tourist industry has not become over-crowded like most Caribbean destinations. This means the beaches, including Anse Canot, are pristine and never cramped.

Anse Canot grants an idyllic and tranquil escape, especially since the region surrounding the beach won't be overly crowded.

Visitors will find this beach on the North West coast of Marie-Galante. It is near Rhum Belle Distillery, which is located easily reached by taxi away, and it is one of a few attractions in the region.

If you want to learn more about the history of Guadeloupe, many sites offer unique historical perspectives on the area. One of the nearest historical attractions is Delices de Siblet Sugar Factory, which is just a brief cab ride away.
