Rainforest Hideaway is a family run establishment that has been in operation since 2004. The restaurant is so named due to its location across Marigot Bay that is only accessible by ferry ride. This gives the locale a magical feel that few restaurants have the pleasure of offering.

Guests at Rainforest Hideaway are treated to a menu of French and Caribbean fusion made from fresh, locally grown and harvested ingredients. Some herbs and vegetables are even grown on site in the restaurant's very own garden. They are the only fine dining restaurant on St. Lucia to serve Lionfish, and as such it is one of their most popular items; a beautiful soft white fish served with a medley of Caribbean compliments.

Rainforest Hideaway specializes in Continental cuisine that has people reflecting on the flavors for the rest of the day. Foodies who know when a meal's been skillfully prepared and presented will appreciate that this restaurant is all about upscale food with flair. Diners are welcome to come by to enjoy dinner only, so don't miss their brief service.

Rainforest Hideaway

Set on the edge of a lagoon in a tropical garden, Rainforest Hideaway exudes a mystical, yet refined aura. Romance is certainly in the air here, and it is often dubbed the most romantic restaurant in the Caribbean. Live jazz if offered three or four nights a week featuring some of the island's most talented musicians. Further, they set the tables up each night in order to specifically make the reservation list, so they can make your table as intimate as you desire.

Set just outside the heart of Marigot Bay, Rainforest Hideaway proves to be an attractive choice for those staying close-by.

There are a handful of attractions within reach of the restaurant, helping visitors to try something new every afternoon. Some of the closest points of interest from this particular dining option include River Rock Waterfall and Fort Charlotte, both of which are within a quick trip away.

There are a number of fairly nearby things to do outside to fill those sunny days if you have space in your itinerary. Visitors who drop by for the day might want to hop over to the neighborhood golf course, Sandals St. Lucia La Toc Golf, which can be found within traveling distance of Rainforest Hideaway. Besides your spikes, you might want to bring a bathing suit for Marigot Bay, which is the most convenient beach and is only a short distance away. And happily, those two are only some of the beaches, golf courses, and outdoor sports within the area.

If you're seeking out another area restaurant with similar kinds of food and/or similar prices, there are at least two nearby dining spots to pick from, including The Pavillion Sandals. Look for it three miles from Rainforest Hideaway.

Then of course, if you want something different, this section of Saint Lucia has an impressive selection of dining establishments that will surely suit the tastes of nearly any type of diner. For instance, you can try Caribbean fare at Doolittle's, which is a couple hundred yards away.

Guests may choose to order from the prix fixe menu. The cost is EC$140 (about $52 US) and includes an amuse bouche, a starter, fresh, homemade bread, the main meal, and sorbet to cleanse the palate between courses. While this is a very popular options, they do also have a traditional a la carte menu.
