The marina in Marigot Bay is busy all year long, making it apparent how popular yachting has become on St. Lucia. A wide range of shops and services are available to sailors here, so docking and staying on your boat during your getaway is just as feasible as getting a hotel room.
If you just want to experience some time on the open water, without the cost and complications involved with renting a boat you should take a day sailing excursion. See the listing that follows to find contact information for excursion providers.

Marigot Bay may be a popular destination for international sailors, but not everyone will want to make quite the nautical trek to get to this port town. For these people, it makes more sense to charter a boat for a day or two after they've arrived. Not only can you charter a yacht to sail yourself, but you can also get a captained vessel so you can sit back while someone with perhaps more experience takes you up and down the coast.
If you are starting to research renting a boat, you can reserve one from these companies:
|B.B.C Yachting||(758) 458-4643||Rodney Bay Marina - Rodney Bay|
|Caribbean Yatching B J||(758) 452-9705||Rodney Bay Marina - Rodney Bay|
|DSL Yachting||(758) 452-8531||Rodney Bay Marina - Rodney Bay|
The Marina at Marigot Harbour has space for 40 yachts that measure between 30 and 250 feet with a minimum drafts of 16 feet and a minimum beam of 44 feet. As you approach, be on the lookout for the house with the bright red roof atop the cliff near the southern entrance which is buoyed to guide you in. Customs and immigrations are available from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:45 p.m. on weekdays, making these hours the optimal times to arrive in order to gain clearance.
