Baie de Marigot

Baie de Marigot is a highly popular bay in St. Martin, with a ferry terminal that provides passage to the neighboring island of Anguilla. If you look west you can watch the ships flow in and out of the popular marina.

Located on the edge of Marigot, about a hundred yards south west of downtown, Baie de Marigot is on the South edge of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you are staying particularly close by. Travelers who find secluded beaches too calm and inactive will probably have a good time at Baie de Marigot.

How to Access The Beach
Resorts flank the beach here and make public access less convenient, but not impossible. Park across the street, which is called Rue de Sandy Ground, and walk around the resorts, east towards the marina and you can get around the resorts and onto the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

The sweep of sand that makes up Baie de Marigot beach is on the southeast end of the bay. If you head south from the beach you'll find many shops and restaurants. The sand is soft and white and there are some interesting rock formations on the beach.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.
