Anse Ceron

Anse Ceron is one of the most popular beaches in all of Martinique. The slowly arching sand offers plenty of room for sun-bathers to spread out while the gentle shoreline waters are perfect for swimming. Head off shore a little bit, and you'll find some rougher waters that surfers seek out.

Positioned on the northwestern outskirts of Le Precheur, Anse Ceron is on the North West coast of Martinique. You might want to drop by whether or not you're staying in the vicinity. You'll find the region surrounding the beach to be rather congested, but this does not, in fact, mean beach to be rather congested, the beach itself is going to be too crowded. Rather, you will usually find plenty of places to set up shop.

How to Access The Beach

The beach is located right off Highway D-10 y taking the road, Bourg Nord du Precheur.

Amenities and Ambiance

If you're suddenly hungry or thirsty, the concession stand at Anse Ceron is the ultimate convenience.

Travelers can take advantage of the available picnic tables, so your food won't get sandy.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Fortunately, showers are provided, so you don't have to spend the rest of the afternoon covered in sand. Fortunately, the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so purchase or rent some gear if you want to do some underwater exploration.

Hidden away, Anse Ceron and its offering of conveniences are bound to be a safe choice among visitors that that are looking to enjoy some time free of all the other tourists, since it is hiding within a calm area. Because of this, the availability of certain amenities shouldn't be negatively affected.

Visitors will find this beach on the North West coast of Martinique; the area hosts attractions such as Centre de Decouverte des Sciences et de la Terre, which is one of the closest attractions.

If you want more information on the history of Martinique, there are plenty of places where you can learn first-hand about the country's past. For example, you might enjoy a visit to Habitation Anse Latouche, which is one of the closest interesting historical sites in the vicinity of Anse Ceron.

The nearest region on Martinique to Anse Ceron is Le Precheur. It's important to note that Fort de France is not overly congested, so for visitors wishing to check out the local scene, Le Precheur could be a great choice for a day trip.


The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, it depends on several things: the season, the weather, even how many people have booked nearby hotels. Anse Ceron is not located near many major hotels, but it can attract visitors staying at some of the smaller accommodations in the area.

If you're looking for something a little more private, you might find what you want at Playa Saint Pierre. You'll find it a short taxi ride away.

Vacationers may also want to visit Sainte-Marie Beach, located 15 and a half miles to the east.

Anse Ceron could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; if so, Martinique offers a variety of beaches for travelers who wish to try elsewhere.
