Located within a small fishing village, Anse Dufour is not normally used for swimming. Instead, the beach mainly serves and a place for picnic, or a launching pad for boats. However, it is not uncommon to see someone cooling off in the water on a hot day.
Situated on the island of Martinique, 5.7 miles south of Fort de France, Anse Dufour is on the South West coast of the island, You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you are staying nearby. Martinique's beaches are pretty busy for the most part, however, Anse Dufour is tamer than most, making it a good pick for those of you who want to stay away from big crowds, but still get the most out of their beach visit.

Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.
There is also a concession stand available.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.
